Dual Cast TV Transmitter

BD is a new BSI dual-cast transmitter, which operates in analog or in digital mode. BD integrates both modulators: analog and digital. The digital modulator module, model EMD, includes the encoder, which is necessary to compress the Audio Video input signal, before is sent to the DVB-T modulator. The EMD module, encoder and DVB-T modulator, could create a complete professional broadcast system. This module produces: a MPEG-2 which is set up by a single channel, the channel encoding and also the DVB-T modulation. High level of stability and efficient QPSK / 16-QAM / 64-QAM modulations can be selected allowing the use of the entire digital channel. All the operating parameters, including FEC and guard time, can be set up through the RS-232 communication port. BD operates in analog or in digital mode. The selection between the two transmitting modes is effected through the 'timer' module in three ways: automatic, manual or through a remote command. The 'timer' module permits also the necessary power reduction during the operation of the digital transmitter. BD could be used for small transmitting stations or as exciter for a larger amplifier.
